Wanderlust:

I go some place where I have never been before.

A particular image from that place sticks with me.

Maybe it is some iconic, touristy thing. That's OK.

Maybe it is something seemingly insignificant. That's OK, too.

Now that image is charged with my remembrance of the place.

It takes time to resolve itself. My work is not spontaneous.

I like to keep it going until it takes on a life of its own.

Maybe some viewers will see it that way, too.
